Ingredients

Steak and Tortellini
  • 1 lb sirloin steak cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 12 oz cheese tortellini fresh or frozen
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for cooking
  • 4 cloves garlic cracked and minced
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper to taste
Creamhouse Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream for a rich sauce
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tbsp butter for flavor
  • 1 tsp dried basil for seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried oregano for seasoning

Method

Cook the Tortellini
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Drain the tortellini in a colander and set aside.
Cook the Steak
  1. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the cracked garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the sirloin steak pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked to your liking.
Prepare the Creamhouse Sauce
  1. Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. Once melted, pour in the heavy cream and stir well.
  2. Add the grated parmesan cheese, dried basil, and oregano. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
Combine and Serve
  1. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet with the cream sauce and steak. Toss gently to combine and heat through.
  2. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parmesan cheese if desired.
